vawt.tk it is a vertical wind turbine that has custom PM generator.

This is a Ropatec 6KW Vertical Axis Wind turbine sited in the North of England during October 2007. Its truely a “Green Machine” as it produces energy from the wind whilst not infringing on any noise regulations. This footage was taken on the 10th of March. The day of the Storm in 2008. I stood underneath it and cpuld not hear even the slightest mechanical or wind noise from the Turbine. Whats more what a great shape for Corperate advertising

THE FLAPPER – The two supporting bars are allowed to rotate freely through 360 degrees, but hang down due to gravity and pass right through the central column. The flat plates are fixed to the bars at 90 degrees to each other, They move from vertical to horizontal in the wind or water flow and at the same time transfer the energy to the central column to make it rotate. This therefore is the basic concept. Experimentation would demonstrate this unique concept. Designed when I lived in Harrogate more than 14 years ago I have decided to release the idea due to the renewed interest in Green Power in 2009. The main principle is that the two supporting bars pass through the central column rather than being connected to it. I am really pleased anyone interested in tidal energy or wind energy concepts may show an interest in this idea. Variations of the design could be stacked, supported in a frame, clockwise or anticlockwise rotation, flaps flip up with flotation in water, huge blades -simple build, MW capacity. River flows or tidal flow energy could be captured with flow from any direction. Four, six or more flaps possible. At least four flaps are required so the device turns. The blades go round so fast in air that they disappear. The movement can be slowed using a strobe light or in water.
