Finally raising the 10 foot homebrew wind turbne up on the 60 foot pole tower. 3 1/2 inch pipe with 3/8 inch cable guy wires and 2 1/2 x 3 x 3 foot concrete anchors x4. Thank the Lord it went up without a hitch. Now putting out 780watts in a 25 mph wind (right at furling speed). Been working on it for 5 months and its good to see it fly up where its supposed to be…now we’ll see how it weathers the spring storms.

during the construction of the 1.5 Mw wind turbine at Mesalands Community College in Tucumcari New Mexico, the Base and Mid tower sections were erected when project managers were told that they had to come down due to a manufacturers defect, 2 days later the replacement tower sections arrived from a different manufacturer in Texas the standing tower sections were removed and the replacement base section was installed as soon as the workers uncoupled it from the trailer assembly, called a Schnoble a day or 2 later the tower sections and trucks were leaving town to go back to their factory of origin. i happened to be there when they were leaving on a Saturday afternoon
